Albanian independent production company founded by Andamion Murataj, operating in Tirana since 2009. The company remains dedicated to bringing socially relevant stories from the margins of Balkan society to international audiences.
Aiming to bridge local storytelling and international distribution, LISSUS MEDIA has established solid partnerships with premier European production houses that share its values and commitment to challenging, thought-provoking cinema.
Its productions have screened at major international festivals, earning recognition for their uncompromising approach to Balkan stories. In 2011, LISSUS MEDIA co-produced The Forgiveness of Blood, directed by Joshua Marston and produced by Fandango (Italy) and Portobello (UK). The film premiered in competition at the 61st Berlin International Film Festival, winning the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay.
Its latest production, Man of the House, marks the broadest European collaboration in an Albanian project and has secured the maximum support from Eurimages. The film held its international premiere in the competition section of the Sarajevo Film Festival and its Italian premiere at Bif&st 2026, where it received a special mention for the lead actress.
